Dr. Stephen K. Lemon. M.D.

Dr. Edward S. Bentley, M.D.

Dr. Bentley was born November 16, 1952 and grew up in Connecticut. He graduated from the University of Oklahoma Medical School in 1978 and completed his fellowship training in Gastroenterology at the University of Southern California Medical Center. Dr. Bentley is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology and has been elected to fellowship in the American College of Physicians and Gastroenterology. He has been in Santa Barbara since 1986. Dr. Bentley and his wife Terri have two children, John and Jennifer.

Dr. Brent J. Kovacs, M.D.

Dr. Kovacs was born November 19, 1965 and grew up in Northridge, California. He graduated from the Tulane University School of Medicine in 1991 and completed his fellowship training in Gastroenterology at Loma Linda University Medical Center in 1997. Dr. Kovacs is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. Dr. Kovacs is married with two children.

Dr. Thomas V. Aguirre, M.D.

Dr. Aguirre was born November 1, 1969 and grew up in the Los Angeles area. He graduated from University of Southern California School of Medicine in 1997. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital in 2000 and his Gastroenterology fellowship at University of Arizona Health Sciences Center in 2003. Dr. Aguirre is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. He and his wife, Bertha, have two children.

Dr. Stephen K. Lemon. M.D.

Dr. Trent Taylor, M.D.

Dr Taylor graduated from UCSB with a degree in Biology in 1995. He then attended the Medical College of Wisconsin where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. He completed residency at University of California, San Diego in 2006 and was awarded the Kaiser Permanente Award for Excellence in Teaching as a resident. He completed Gastroenterology and Hepatology fellowship at University of New Mexico in 2009. Afterwards, he joined the faculty at University of New Mexico. Dr Taylor was chosen as a recipient of the Stellar Consultant Award for 2011 by the Primary Care Leadership at UNM. In 2012 he joined Santa Barbara Gastroenterology Associates. Dr Taylor's clinical interests include the diagnosis and treatment of liver disease, including viral hepatitis, autoimmune hepatitis and cirrhosis as well as general gastrointestinal diseases. Dr Taylor also performs endoscopic hemorrhoidal treatment. Dr Taylor is married with three children and he enjoys running, hiking and spending time with his family.
